I've been lax in updating this blog lately, I'm afraid. (Most of my updates have ended up on my Facebook page instead.) But I have some pretty good excuses, really. My husband was deployed to Afghanistan in August, and I was working full-time, taking care of our 3-year-old and pregnant with our second son. Aaron was born in late December, and Judah returned home at the beginning of March. At the reunion at Camp Lejeune, N.C., I mostly tried to just be in the moment, but I had my camera, and once the baby was in my husband's arms instead of mine, I had to take that moment in through the viewfinder, too.
April's theme at I Heart Faces is "Happiness," and this is that moment for me. Finally getting to see these two faces together in person, instead of over Skype. (I do wish I had my own photos of when our 3-year-old was reunited with his Daddy, but I was just taking it all in at that point. That one's in the memory bank instead of on the memory card. I can live with that.)
